black....

this past week was my first week at work and I think that I'm wearing too much black...arrgghh!!! I always try to wear a lot of colors but it looks like this past week was a little darker to me !

So, have you been buying all the x-mas gifts and preparing for the holidays ?

last week

It's my last week of vacations. This last weekend was the last I had free before March....uhgghh!! I hate to think of this !!!!

Next saturday I start the new season at the museum with a new exhibition (this is the exciting part).

I want to thank you all for the birthday wishes, thank you thank you :) On sunday I went to see my family, my sister made me a birthday cake and we had champagne with it, it was wonderful.

The weather has been awful: rain and wind but no cold :-(

So, I have 3 days left before work, I started with the X-mas deco; this is my favorite time of the year - the time between my b-day and the last day of the year - it used to be when I was a child, it still is today.

This morning at the market I bought some X-mas deco (red and silver), you can see them under the chandelier on the photos.

I don't make a X-mas tree anymore I just put on some lights and X-mas deco here and there around the house, how about you ?

I've also been buying some cute stuff over on ebay and etsy for winter. I love fashion so much, I always find something over on ebay.

Have you thought about your X-mas outfit already, I know it's early but...oh well!!!? This year I'm going to make it simple but glamorous : black and white, I'll tel you more soon.

b-day

Today is my birthday. 34 already, time runs :)

Yesterday my husband and I spent the whole day in Paris just strolling around, the day was perfect, I can't remember seeing such a sunny day in winter here in Paris. Even the photos had too much light, for once !!!

A little stroll around the Jardin des Tuileries in the morning, we had lunch in a great "brasserie" rue des archives to celebrate my b-day and as every year by my b-day is the time for the wine "beaujolais nouveau". The "brasserie" had a great rustical ephemeral deco that was perfect for the season, there was straws on the floor and the waiters where dressed like in the old days (impossible to take pictures it was too dark inside). We ate a wonderful "pot-au-feu" and we drinked beaujolais nouveau wine of course.

Then we headed to the "marché des enfants rouges" which is the oldest market in Paris and while heading there we passed by "Rose Bakery" where I ate the most delicious carrot cake of my life (until now ;-) ).

To end this wonderful day we headed to Merci the concept store, well...it is nice and all but it's all too much expensive for me !!!! Unfortunately !!! Well, I liked the Fiat 500 in the entrance which is all prepared for X-mas time :)

I also bought a gorgeous wine colour dress at H&M, I'm in love with this dress, I'll have to show it to you later ;-)

Today I didn't planned anything, I'm just going to do....nothing at all !!! :)

how wonderful it is a sunday aftenoon stroll through the forest during fall! All the colors, all the scents ...and what I love best is to pick walnuts !!!

The best of it all is to go home back to a cosy place drink some hot tea and eat the walnuts with someone you love :)

Today when I opened my mail box I made a big smile because my swap package had arrived, it came all the way from a neighbour country -Switzerland- .

Lise sent me great things and the recipe and all the ingredients for a cocooning afternoon : good music, chocolate, tea and candles !!! Thank you Lise I loved it all :)
