I stumbled upon this project from back 2009/2010 and thought that this should continue to be an everlasting project.
So, let's upload these beautiful cards from time to time and just drop them here and there and let's put a smile on some people's faces ... Thanks Amanda !

Freebie cards here and here. I'll drop some this weekend. Have a beautiful weekend my friends.

Books, books and book shelves. Bliss, right ?

I read on the last issue of Psychologies magazine (french edition) about book therapy. This is something that most of us have been doing for ages, aren't we always trying to find answers and comfort where we can ? Most of the times what we can afford is a book because it's cheaper than a psychotherapy.
Although it isn't symptoms related, if you need some book therapy I have found this great website (that you might already be familiar with) that helps you to choose the book for your needs, I think it's really nice to find some new authors. Whichbook
Indeed, books are also medicine :)

our inner worlds

One of the wonderful things about going through this Reiki Master degree that I engaged in a few months ago is that I get to experience the body I live in: its breath, its intelligence, its own way of healing itself.
Life is perfect the way it is, worlds live inside each and everyone of us and it's up to us to go and seek them.
Have a wonderful sunday my friends !

wandering

I was browsing through internet and found something I did back in 2008, I submitted this photo and poem for Pia's book "My heart wanders" I had completely forgotten and it just hit me, it's funny to find things on the internet about yourself that you don't remember anymore.
I translated it (very bad) for you to have an idea of what's writen:

Vagabond heart

My heart wanders by chance

Carried by wind and clouds

He meets

He encounters other hearts

He wanders from body to body

But never gets lost

Creation time

My 100% free time for creation has started. I live for these moments, this is why I accept to be exploited, I do believe that everything has a price in life but I keep on wishing that one day I'll no longer need and accept that to keep on living my dream.

Ladies and gentleman : The Artist

Just arrived from the cinema, went to see "The Artist" and Wow !! What a movie, what a soundtrack, what a performance. I already loved Jean Dujardin since the beginning but Wow and Bérénice Bejo was a revelation to me, she is beautiful, beautiful, she's amazing !
How good it feels to just be invaded by all sorts of emotions during a 1h30 film where no one speaks.... this must be one of the best films done lately in regards to its astouning esthetic of... well, everything....Wow, it is amazing, this is all I can say !!

I've always loved tap dance (oh Fred Astaire I love you :) ) but how I wish I could learn it. The music, oh my the Music is per-fection. Well I could go on telling you how everything is amazing, but just go out and watch it because this is the kind of film that belongs and can only be completely experienced in a cinema room. I think I'll have to go and watch it again (this never happens to me).

Oh nostalgia, oh nostalgia, don't you miss the "The End" word ???

Edit on february 27th: Wow, I'm so happy that Jean Dujardin got the Oscar and that all the team of the film got all these Oscars...what a dream, I'm so hapy for them all. :)

Fernando Pessoa who knows Fernando Pessoa ?

Oh my, Fernando Pessoa wrote what I could say the most beautiful book in the world. If I should only have one book, it would be this one, 'The Book of Disquiet'. Lately, I've been reading this book made of fragments, this time in french (wish I could read it in all languages of the world) and it's just like the first time. A fragment before going to sleep, a little one first thing in the morning; like a prescription :)
I lack of words in english to tell you how much I love this poet, this writer. He has been with me all my life just like Florbela Espanca. They are my family.

Some of his quotes:

"As we wash our body so we should wash destiny, change life as we change clothes."

"In order to understand, I destroyed myself."

"I never meant to be but a dreamer."

"I always live in the present. The future I can't know. The past I no longer have."

"We never love someone. We just love the idea we have of someone. It's a concept of ours - summing up, ourselves - that we love."

"To write is to forget. Literature is the pleasantest way of ignoring life."

"We adore perfection because we can't have it; it would disgust us if we had it. Perfect is inhuman, because human is imperfect."

This one is my favorite, I quote this one all the time:
"I am nothing
I shall never be anything
I cannot wish to be anything
Aside from that, I hold within me all the dreams of the world."

my first book cover

I'm so happy to share with you my first book cover. A poetry book cover. Krystal Languell asked me last year to use one of my artworks for the cover of her first poetry book "Call The Catastrophists". She choosed 'Jouer' - 'Play' and this week I received a couple of them. Thank you so much Krystal. It's an american poetry book that you can find here .

I'm crossing my fingers that the next time my work appears in a book it will be because I wrote it.

Next to it, 'Counterpoint' by Anna Enquist, that I'm reading at the moment. If you don't know this wonderful dutch writer, check her books if you can. If you love life's details that are bigger than life itself and classical music you'll find both in her books.

Have a great sunday, my dear friends, I'm almost on holidays, one more week left of work and in 8 days I'll be free :)

Poèmeraie

Cold days behind, cold days ahead. Creation is warmth and lately I'm completely entwined by it. You can see more of my "poèmeraie" (plantation of visual poems over pieces of paper and watercolor).
